The original release of Oni was a Carbonised application which could run in Mac OS 9 or Mac OS X. Due to a windowing error however, the game had some annoying mouse problems that made it difficult to play in Mac OS X--mouse movement would stop at the point your invisible 'cursor' reached any edge of the screen.
OmniGroup got together and made a more proper Mac OS X port which unfortunately had several little errors which proved fatal, most especially, a sound threading bug that caused the game to crash--every time. Sometimes you might play five minutes before the crash occurred, sometimes five seconds, needless to say the easiest way to play Oni on a Mac was to restart into Mac OS 9.
That has finally changed. Kudos to Omni for following through--they received no paycheck for this port or the fix.
